Two rectangle objects with cube motif, height 35 cm.
This object is put together with layers of clay of 8 mm. I use a template to cut the clay. The bottom and the top are different in width. Per object I alternate this so that they fit together and the motif can run over the two objects. The forms are fired in an electric kiln (900°C). To put the cube motif on the object in pencil requires time and attention. I then draw the lines in glaze. Those lines will be white after the firing and where there is no glaze blackens in the process of raku firing my second color.
