Beads I make by filling two rubber halves with a thin layer of clay. I use several sizes balls for this. The two halves are glued together with clayslib and perforated with two holes for a thread. Square and oblong beads are also built from a thin layer of clay. I decorate my beads with the same geometrical motifs in miniature, freehand without a ruler or compass. The drawing is filled in with a transparant glaze. Special standards are used to support the beads in the kiln. The making, glazing and firing of beads is very laborious.
